Thanksgiving is a day for family and friends in the US and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars showed it is a time for people to put aside their differences and come together.

Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mariah Carey all spent time with their former flames on the big day and shared pictures on social media.

A Kardashian family photo posted by Kim on Instagram shows that Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick and Kris Jenner’s former husband Caitlyn Jenner were both invited to the festivities, along with Kim’s husband Kanye West and Kris’s current boyfriend Corey Gamble.

Kylie Jenner shared the same picture, which shows her cuddled up to boyfriend Tyga, with the caption: “Thankful for my blended family”.

It was Khloe who took responsibility for feeding the huge group, sharing a photo of the massive spread she had prepared.

Gwyneth Paltrow also spent the holiday with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman  Chris Martin, as well as their children Moses and Apple. She shared a picture on Instagram with the caption: “Happy Thanksgiving from us to you!”

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon also put their differences behind them on the special day to spend time with their twins Moroccan and Monroe and a huge bunch of balloons.

Britney Spears spent Thanksgiving with family, sharing a picture of her and sons Sean and Jayden alongside her older brother Bryan and her sister Jamie Lynn, as well as Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie.

Meanwhile Drew Barrymore posted a photo taken by her husband Will Kopelman of her hugging one of her daughters, captioned: “I am thankful for my family. My in-laws and my amazing friends. I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I am truly grateful today. Photo by will.”

Jurassic Park star Chris Pratt also spent the day with his beautiful family, sharing a hilarious picture of a Norman Rockwell painting with the faces of him and his wife Anna Faris and their son superimposed.

He revealed the couple had taken their son Jack for a rural adventure for the holiday, captioning the picture: “Grateful for so much, not the least of which is this four-day weekend with my family. Loaded the truck, took the wife and boy on a road trip to a beautiful destination in the woods. A big shout out to everybody who can’t be with their families because they’re overseas serving their country. We salute you and give you thanks.
