When news broke in 2013 that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones were heading to splitsville, there was mourning galore.

Luckily though, the couple have reconciled and Michael now says they’re marriage is “stronger than ever”.

Appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show, he said: “It can’t be a one-way street. But I’m crazy about her. And yeah, I think every couple has their difficult times.”

“The only problem is, as you well know, we’re all in the public eye, and it tends to get a little more exposed than most.

“We’re back stronger than ever.”

It’s been a tough couple of years for the couple as Michael, now 70, battled cancer after being diagnosed in 2010, but is now in remission.

Catherine revealed in 2011 that she had Bipolar II disorder and voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility to seek further help.

Michael also thanked Ellen and her team for reminding him it was his fifteenth, and not fourteenth wedding anniversary coming up, as he’d thought.
