Emma Stone has joked about how she "upset" Colin Firth by pestering him about his previous movies while they worked together on the new Woody Allen film.

The actress, 25, told The Daily Beast that she loves Colin's past work and that she's a huge fan of the British actor.

Emma, who stars with Colin in Magic In The Moonlight, said : "I've seen Love Actually about 18 times. I've seen Bridget Jones too many times now...

"I live-texted Colin the plot of Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason a few months back while I was watching it."

She added to Colin, who was also in the interview: "You were very upset with me, if I remember correctly. I talked him through what he was doing!"

Oscar-winner Colin, 53, replied: "She's talking through my back catalogue via text!

"I might decide to not revisit stuff in the past, and then you get a good friend saying, 'Oh, when you were doing this you had this and that expression on your face'."

When Emma said that her mum "absolutely does love Colin", Colin joked: "You're not the only person whose mother loves me."

When Colin asked later in the interview if he was a "quote-bore", Emma replied by quoting Bridget Jones, saying: "I like you very much... just as you are."

She added: "Look at you... you're all red now. Oh, Colin, you're so wonderful. You're my Oscar Wilde."
