EVER wanted a high profile role in the Warrington Music Festival?

Well now is your chance with the Warrington Guardian’s new Hotwired music competition - run in conjunction with Pyramid and Parr Hall.

We are looking for the best home grown new music act.

The five finalists will get to play at The Parr Hall in a live final where the line up for this year’s festival, to be held in July, will be announced.

While the winner on the night, May 25, will get a top slot at the festival in July, as well as support from the Warrington Guardian for the next 12 months.

You can enter by e-mailing Sophie Corless with a link to your song or video on Youtube, or you can send your own video or sound clips. You must be available to perform on the night of the final, Saturday May 25.

All submitted clips must be under 50MB and in any format other than Flash.

The deadline for entries is May 2. With votes for the finalists starting on May 9.

We will reveal the winners on May 16.

This competition is open to over 16s only and at least one band member must be from Warrington.
