TOM Grennan will be playing his biggest headline tour in October following his breakthrough with the single, Sober.
The track has been playlisted on Radio 1, Radio 2, Virgin, Absolute and Radio X and anticipation is now high for the 22-year-old’s debut album, Lighting Matches, which will be released on Insanity Records on July 6.
Grennan’s tour will see him playing to more than 35,000 across the UK and will follow a packed festival season including Neighbourhood Weekender, Y-Not and Reading and Leeds.
Lighting Matches also features the single, Found What I’ve Been Looking For, which was used as the title music to Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage and has racked up more than 14 million streams.
Grennan first entered the wider public as a guest vocalist on Chase and Status’ track, When It All Goes Wrong. A trio of EPs – Release the Brakes, Something in the Water and Found What I’ve Been Looking For – followed before the snappy, string-laden single, Sober.
The London-based singer-songwriter also features on Bugzy Malone‘s Memory Lane single, which was playlisted at Radio 1. Tom Grennan will play at Manchester Academy on October 12 and Liverpool Academy on October 20.
