TWO-TIME Grammy nominee Tommy Emmanuel will be taking to the Parr Hall stage in May to entertain fans with his diverse range of guitar styles.
The Australian guitarist is bringing his Intimate Sound tour to Warrington on May 18.
Internationally renowned for his versatile repertoire, Tommy is hailed for his ability to effortlessly switch between genres, from pop, jazz and blues to classical, flamenco, and aboriginal styles.
Holly Jones, from Parr Hall, said: “Influenced by the great Merle Travis and Chet Atkins style of finger-picking, Tommy’s technique is second to none as he manages to imitate the sound of an entire band – covering drums, bass, rhythm, lead guitar, and a vocal melody simultaneously, resulting in an effect that is guaranteed to blow you away.”
Having been made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2010, Tommy’s reputation as one of the nation’s leading guitarists is spreading rapidly so catch him while you can in Warrington.
