WARRINGTON’S acoustic guitar virtuoso Peter Price is playing at the Pyramid on Friday – and he is bringing along his friends.
The former St Alban’s CE Primary School pupil has an international reputation following a musical career which has taken him to festivals and concert venues throughout the UK, Europe and North America.
A gifted performer, the Thelwall resident’s performances take listeners on journeys from the country blues style of Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, and Leadbelly, to Latin American dances, Celtic pipe and harp tunes, hymns and Indian ragas.
Peter will be joined on stage by some special guests, including Clive Mellor who has been playing blues harmonica since the mid 70’s and has recently been working with Liam Gallagher.
Double bassist Russ Williams, Irish blues/jazz diva Joanne Keegan on fiddle, washboard, guitar and vocals, and soprano saxophone player David Mather, who is the leader of Warrington’s Harry Goulden Big Band, complete the line-up.
