A FREE festival compilation will be music to the ears of fans.

Warrington Music [WAM] has put together a mix of 15 of the bands performing at Warrington Music Festival so listeners can get acquainted with the artists before the May bank holiday weekend event.

Among the tracks included is Blow Up Doll by Sunday co-headliner Space and How Animal Are You, the new single by Burtonwood's Slydigs.

Lee Harman, from [WAM], said: "I would like to thank all the artists who have contributed tracks to the compilation.

"It is fantastic that artists from all three days have joined together to show the best that the Warrington music scene offers.

"For the first time we have been able to include an artist from the standalone headline show on the compilation, which will help all the bands reach new people."

The compilation follows on from other opportunities [WAM] has offered artists in recent months.

Former Woolston High pupil Lee recently secured airplay for bands on Radio Warrington, Wire FM and at Warrington Wolves home games.

More than 5,000 tracks have been downloaded since [WAM] started releasing music on its Bandcamp page.
