Flowers
For fans of: The Smiths, Heavenly, Lush
FLOWERS began when guitarist Sam Ayres posted an unusual advert that he did not expect to hear a reply to.
He said he wanted to make pop songs that sounded like 'early Madonna played through a broken tape machine'.
That is when Sam met Rachel Kenedy and the pair fell into a both a creative and romantic partnership.
They now share a flat in East London with their dog Batman and restore vintage music equipment when they are not recording or performing.
Jordan Hockley completes Flowers' line-up on drums and the trio have just released their second album, Everybody's Dying To Meet You after working with Primal Scream and My Bloody Valentine producer Brian O'Shaughnessey.
- Flowers play at Fallow Café in Manchester on February 25
