ELECTRONICA meets jazz on Stuart McCallum's new album, City.
The Manchester guitarist and composer has collaborated with Sharlene Hector, from Basement Jaxx and Fridolijn Van Poll and Sophie Barker from Zero 7 on his follow-up to 2011's Distilled.
Since then he has been busy with a wide range of other projects, including scoring music for the Northern Ballet and working in an acoustic duo called Spaven.
With a wide range of influences from Machinedrum, Lau and Martin Simpson to Debussy, Taylor McFerrin and Burial, Stuart enjoys making music that defies categorisation.
And after the hard work Stuart is celebrating with an album launch at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Tuesday, August 4.
