LIKE barbecues and sunny days and films and popcorn, some things just go well together.

And it’s just the same for motorbikes and rock and roll.

But did you know there is a festival that is dedicated to both those things on our doorstep?

Despite its name, Manchester Rock and Bike Fest takes place off Manchester Road in Rixton over three days with camping available.

The festival plays host to rock groups throughout the event playing original songs and covers and there is also a popular battle of the bands.

The custom bike show promises something for all types of bikers with everything from Harleys to cafe racers on display and in action.

Major motorbike manufacturers will be hosting stalls too.

There is also a tattoo show for the full rock and roll experience.

But the Rock and Bike Fest is also family friendly with family camping available as well as a children’s ‘Fun Town’ zone and rally games for the big kids.

Real ales and ciders will be flowing throughout the event and the entertainment carries on into the night with the likes of fire breathing and entertainers with angle grinders.

  • Manchester Rock and Bike Fest is in Rixton from Thursday until Saturday.
  • Tickets online are £20 or you can get them at the gate for £25. Family tickets are £40.
