PRIESTLEY are hosting an EP launch party on Friday – and they are bringing their friends from the Warrington music scene.

The Americana band will be releasing No More Wasting Time at Studio2 in Parr Street, Liverpool.

The launch part kicks off at 6.30pm with performances from Lymm singer Ellie Dibben, Warrington Music Festival regular Kye Jones and Birchwood band Sweet Release.

Sam Allen, from Birchwood, and Matthew Morley, from Orford, named their band after Priestley College where they met and found inspiration.

The pair were originally actors – Matt was in Warhorse while Sam doubled for Johnny Depp in Mortdecai – before turning their attentions to music.

Their five-track EP was recorded at Edwin Street Studios in Bury.

Matt said: “They have an ambient pop, rock quality to the production so it made sense to bring these tracks together for a release.

“We have named it No More Wasting Time. This is due to the traction that the title song has gained for us so far – and the motivation that we’re not getting any younger!”
