FOR three days only, Manchester’s Old Granada Studios will open its doors to the public for one last time.

Lionel Richie, Oasis and Take That tribute acts will be performing during the weekend wrap party for a final celebration of the studios before its closure.

Granadaland organisers have also promised American street food, a ‘Stars In Your Eyes’ themed bar and DJ sets into the night as a final send off for the famous studios.

The event offers fans one last chance to see the historic studios before they are demolished.

Many attempts have been made to save the studios after they closed in 2013 following a 57 year tenure hosting some of the UK’s biggest TV shows and performers.

The studios have previously hosted the first televised performances by The Beatles and Take That, as well as being home to popular TV series including Take Me Out, Coronation Street and University Challenge.

Granadaland will run from Friday 28th April until Sunday 30th April.

The weekend line-up includes:

Friday 28th April

Oasis (tribute)

Saturday 29th April

Lionel Richie (tribute)

Sunday 30th April

Take That (tribute) and a surprise act to be revealed on the night.

Doors will open at 6pm and will carry on late into the night.

General manager of Granadaland, Christopher Wandsworth, said: “For people across the UK, the Old Granada Studios is one of the most iconic venues in the country.

"We wanted to make sure fans had the chance to experience the studios before they close, whether they’ve been before or this is their first time.

"This really will be the last opportunity for people to see the studios in their full glory.

"Given both Take That and Oasis are from Manchester, we thought they would make for a perfect addition to what we hope will be the perfect send-off, completed by our surprise act."
