TOM Jones will be coming to the green, green grass of Delamere this summer.

The Welsh star will be performing again for Forest Live, the concert series organised by the Forestry Commission. He will be at Delamere Forest, near Northwich, on Saturday, July 1.

Tom has sustained his popularity as a live performer and recording artist in a career spanning more than five decades. The 76-year-old is best known for hits including It’s Not Unusual, Delilah and What’s New Pussycat.

But he has remained a major recording artist, with albums such as 1999’s Reload, the biggest selling of his then 35-year career. More recently Tom released the critically acclaimed albums Spirit In The Room and Praise Blame in collaboration with producer/guitarist, Ethan Jones.

Tom was knighted in 2006 and other highlights of his long career include receiving Brit Awards for Best Male and Outstanding Contribution to Music, a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement and the prestigious Music Industry Trust Award.

This year sees Tom back on our screens, where he has resumed his coaching role on The Voice alongside fellow coaches Will.I.Am, Jennifer Hudson and Gavin Rossdale.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting and improving and expanding England’s woodlands

Tickets are on sale this Friday at 9am and cost £46.50 (plus £5.15 booking fee). Visit forestry.gov.uk/music or call 03000 680400.
