DENNIS Locorriere is back on tour performing the hits of Dr Hook for the first time in 30 years.
The New Jersey singer and founding member of the group embarked on a series of sell-out performances New Zealand and Australia in 2015.
The concerts have been so well received that the tour keeps expanding and new UK shows have been announced for later this year.
Dr Hook’s Timeless tour reaches Parr Hall on October 21.
Locorriere’s original band formed in 1967, originally under the name Dr Hook and the Medicine Show.
The name was inspired by former backing vocalist Ray Sawyer’s eyepatch and a reference to Captain Hook.
Thanks to Locorriere’s unmistakable voice, Dr Hook enjoyed commercial success in the 1970s with hit singles Sylvia’s Mother, The Cover of Rolling Stone, Sharing the Night Together, A Little Bit More and When You’re in Love with a Beautiful Woman.
During that time they released 11 albums and racked up more than 70 platinum and gold discs.
Dennis Locorriere and Dr Hook perform at the Parr Hall on October 21. Visit pyramidparrhall.com or call 442345.
