TWO dance music icons are joining forces to help Creamfields celebrate its 20th event.
Eric Prydz and deadmau5 have been announced as the first headline act for the Daresbury festival for its milestone year.
It will be the first time both acts have perform live together in the UK.
They will headline the Steel Yard Arena on August 25 and it will be their only European show of 2017.
A huge line up and 70,000 revellers are expected for the festival’s celebrations over the bank holiday weekend from August 24 to 27.
The full release of acts is due to be announced in February.
Creamfields, recently voted ‘Best Major Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards, was launched at at The Matterley Bowl in Winchester by the team behind super club Cream in 1998.
It then went to Speke in Liverpool before moving to Daresbury in 2006 where it has stayed for 10 years.
As well as the Best Major Festival accolade, Creamfields has also scooped the ‘Best Dance Event’ award a record eight times.
