FORGET Batman and Spider-Man, this Halloween your help is needed to stop an evil sorcerer from stealing the super powers of nocturnal animals.

Chester Zoo has teamed up with Wild Rumpus to create a special half term attraction featuring a host of unusual performers including wise owls, musical aardvarks and acrobatic spiders.

Children are invited to explore The Enchantment of Chester Zoo before being given a test tube which they can fill with colourful 'magic potions' to help break the spell as they explore the creatures' natural habitats and find out facts about the super powers of some of its most mysterious species including bats, aye-ayes and tarantulas.

Charlotte Smith, head of discovery and learning at Chester Zoo, said: “This is set to be a spectacular, fun, hands on experience like no other.

"What’s more, we hope it will highlight the incredible diversity of our planet.

"Some of our nocturnal species are under threat in the wild and visitors to the zoo are helping to fund the work that will prevent us losing animal super-powers forever.”

The Enchantment of Chester Zoo runs daily from 10am until 2pm until Monday. It is free with zoo entry but booking is recommended to guarantee places.
