ORFORD'S Vibe Youth Radio will be hosting a Christmas concert of emerging music talent on December 17.

Vibe Showcase at Liverpool Academy 2 will be headlined by Northern Irish solo artist Conor McGinty, from The X Factor, and BBC Introducing artist Callum Jackson.

They will be joined by indie bands Fight The Bear and Misfires, Welsh singer-songwriter Megan Roberts and dance troupe G Dolls, as seen on Britain's Got Talent and Got To Dance.

Daniel Miller, of Melville Close, set up his own online radio station in his bedroom in Orford and initially just had 15 listeners.

He was inspired after helping Warrington Collegiate to launch its student radio station and now Vibe Youth is being sponsored by O2's Think Big programme.

Daniel said: "Since we launched back in January 2015 we have held an Oxjam gig in our hometown of Warrington with Bailey McConnell headlining the performance in aid of Oxfam.

"This year we have set our hearts on hosting a gig in aid of another charity as here at Vibe we pride ourselves in helping others.

"This gig will be supporting and raising awareness for The Henry Allen Trust which helps families battling childhood cancer."

You can save £10 with earlybird tickets for the Vibe Showcase which are available until November 29.

Standard tickets are £16.87 and meet and greet VIP tickets are £28.12.

Ticket prices will rise to £26.87 and £38.12 respectively after November 29.
