ONE of the country's biggest video games shows will be unveiling the PlayStation 4 Pro from September 22 to 25.

EGX (Eurogamer Exhibition) will be held at the NEC in Birmingham for the second year running where the latest version of Sony's games console will be making its UK debut.

Due for release on the November 10, the new PlayStation will give a significant boost to existing PS4 games through the use of 4K and High Dynamic Range technology.

The power of the PS4 Pro will be shown off using a huge screen at presentations throughout the four-day event.

Sony's plans in the run-up to Christmas will be a big focus of EGX with PlayStation's VR (virtual reality) games in the spotlight as well.

Using a headset, PlayStation VR, which is out next month, totally immerses players making them feel like they are actually inside of the game.

The list of playable games includes several UK debuts with attendees able to get hands-on for the first time with titles such as Driveclub VR, Batman: Arkham VR, Robinson: The Journey and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

EGX also features the world's first play of Dishonored 2, Bethesda's sequel to the multi award-winning first-person action game.

Other playable titles include Final Fantasy XV, the latest in Square Enix's beloved role-playing series, as well as a co-op mode for Rise of the Tomb Raider and new content for Hitman based in Thailand.

On the show floor you can also get hands on with some of the biggest upcoming games like Battlefield 1, Destiny: Rise of Iron and Titanfall 2 as well as countless indie games.

Lymm's Nomad Games will be there too to showcase its Warhammer games Talisman and the Horus Heresy as well as the new Smash Up where pirates, ninja, robots, zombies battle it out for world domination.
