ROBERT Powell and Liza Goddard will be presenting a century of cinema as part of this year's Lymm Festival.

The popular festival has already finalised its summer programme with a talk about stars of the silver screen and stories behind the films among the highlights at Statham Lodge on June 20.

It starts with the Lumiere Brothers in Paris in 1895 and ends with Daniel Craig as James Bond in Quantum of Solace at Pinewood Studios in 2008.

Along the way there will be tales about Charlie Chaplin, Mae West, Mickey Mouse, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Groucho Marx and many others.

Robert Powell is best known for The Detectives, Holby City and his lead role in Jesus of Nazareth. He also portrayed King Charles III in the play of the same name about Charles taking the throne.

Liza Goddard is known for Skippy, Give Us A Clue and Bergerac.

There is also plenty on offer for comedy fans.

Northern charmer Justin Moorhouse will be at the Lymm Hotel on June 23.

Justin played Young Kenny in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, Dean Upton in Coronation Street and was in Ken Loach's Looking For Eric.

He has also appeared on the likes of Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Live at the Apollo and wrote his own BBC Radio 4 sitcom called Everyone Quite Likes Justin.

Justin will be joined by Markus Birdman, a punchy comedian renowned for his smart jokes and engaging stories.

The next day, Sam Willis will be appearing as his alter ego, The Boy with Tape on his Face, at Lymm Hotel on June 24.

His silent comedy has won over Edinburgh Festival and he has appeared on the Royal Variety Performance.

Lymm Festival runs from June 16 to 26.
