A CLASSIC fairytale has been given a rewrite with a nod and a wink for the hugely popular Lymm Panto.

Lymm Rugby Club members are busy rehearsing for their adult-only version of Snow White – the panto they started with back in 1987.

Writer Simon Plumb's flamboyant, tongue-in-cheek Christmas show regular sells out with an audience of more than 1,500 people and it is expected to be no different with 'Snow White and Her Seven Dwarfly Sins'.

Simon, who was once in a comedy double act called Haddock and Plumb with the same agent as Steve Coogan, said: "If you have not seen the Lymm Panto I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a huge laugh.

"On the other hand if you have experienced this extraordinary show before, you know you are in for a great night.

"Many of our audience say it kicks off their Christmas and this year we have a few surprises in store.

"It is saucy, cheeky and hilarious with a few sins along the way – not to be missed."

'Snow White and Her Seven Dwarfly Sins' will be presented at the rugby club in Crouchley Lane in a marquee from December 3 to 6 and December 10 to 13.

It is the club's 28th panto following the likes of Ben-Hur, Scrooged and Alice in WonderLymm.

The panto will help raise funds for Lymm Grass Roots Clubhouse Appeal. The five-year project is to help develop the clubhouse following a big influx of members, particularly in the mini, junior and colts section.

'Snow White and Her Dwarfly Sins' is strictly for over 18s. Tickets are £20 and are available from Colette Cartwright on 07789 265 447. Alternatively visit trylymm.com

Demand for Lymm Panto is always high so it is advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
