A ROOTIN' Tootin' tribute to AC/DC, Kiss and other classic rock bands is coming to Warrington.

Hayseed Dixie, who created a fusion of rock and bluegrass called 'rockgrass', will be bringing their southern fried blend of music to the Parr Hall on Saturday October 3.

The 'Hillbilly' band grew up in the isolated Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee and originally played traditional country music on banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar and acoustic bass.

Legend has it that a car crashed on a dangerous curve in the road near their home called Devil's Elbow.

The driver died but when they searched through the wreckage looking for identification, they found several vinyl AC/DC albums.

That discovery was the start of one of the world's most unique tribute bands.

Hayseed Dixie have since released 15 albums, consisting of both original material and reinterpretations of classic rock songs, selling more than 500,000 copies.

Since 2001, the five-piece have also performed more than 1,000 live shows in 31 countries.

Hayseed Dixie will be playing with one of Europe's finest AC/DC tribute acts, Livewire.

Not just a high voltage rock and roll show, the band come complete with trademark cannons and a wall of Marshall amps.

And in AC/DC's 40th year, Livewire cover both the band's Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras.
