The Slow Show
For fans of: John Cale, Tom Waits, The National
AFTER a busy year recording their debut album, The Slow Show will be playing a homecoming gig at Gorilla in Manchester on Monday, June 8.
The five-piece have already caught the attention of BBC 6Music and Radio 2 following the launch of their track Bloodline and they will be releasing their next single Augustine on June 29.
With influences as diverse as Lou Reed, David Bowie and The National, The Slow Show make music that is hard to pigeon-hole.
And it seems they are even fans of stop motion animation as the video for their song Testing was directed by Paul 'Gripper' Flannery, best known for Postman Pat.
After six UK shows, the band will round off their summer at Rob De Bank’s Bestival on the Isle of Wight in September.
