'NERD rock' quartet Double Experience are playing at the Dog House in Buttermarket Street on Tuesday.
The band from Ottawa in Canada are jetting over to Warrington for the first date of their UK tour – and it is a free gig.
Double Experience's songs are inspired by comic books, trading cards, classic 8-bit games and today's 3D experiences and they have shared a stage with the likes of Every Time I Die and Hawthorne Heights.
They are also one of the hardest working bands on the scene having performed more than 500 shows over 100,000 miles in the last few years.
The band have toured across Canada six times as well as twice in the UK and the United States.
Guitarist Brock Tinsley said: “When we first started touring the UK, we never imagined it would grow from a once-in-lifetime opportunity to what is now an annual trip for our band."
Double Experience's album ‘721835’ was released last year and is the follow-up to their 2011 EP ‘One Big Quicksand’ which was recorded by Jayson DeZuzio who has worked with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Coheed and Cambria.
