TICKETS are now on sale for the largest gaming convention in the UK.

EGX (Eurogamer Expo) will be held at The NEC in Birmingham between September 24 and 27.

The annual showcase gives gamers the chance to play upcoming releases for new gen consoles and PC as well as indie games weeks or even months before they hit shelves and the online market.

Attracting a record 75,000 people last year, the event was previously held in London's Earl's Court and its move to Birmingham will make it much easier for north west fans to get to.

EGX also features industry talks from prominent developers where you can get a glimpse behind the scenes of how some of your favourite games are made.

There will be plenty of nods to gaming culture with tournaments, retro gaming and merchandise while visitors are encouraged to dress as their icons from the world of Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox with a cosplay stage.

For those looking to get their foot in the door, there is also a games industry jobs fair.

Tickets are available for any of the days costing £17.50 or £20 for early access or you can buy a pass for all four days for £60.
