DANCERS from across Warrington and the north west are limbering up and running through their routines ahead of a major showcase.

Groups will be demonstrating their talents in contemporary dance at Shine on Saturday at the Parr Hall.

The aim of the event is for young people to show off what they have learnt, raise the profile of the art form and shine the spotlight on all the opportunities available nearby.

Saturday’s line-up features EdgeFWD from Edge Hill University, Angel Dance Academy, The Dance Studio Warrington, University Academy Warrington, Appleton College, Warrington Collegiate Company Boom, Sarah Royle School of Dance, Northern Star Dancing, Wolfprint, Further Footsteps, Viscaria Dancers and JMUpstart Dance Company from John Moore’s University.

The annual dance platform offers dance groups and artists from across Warrington and the north west the opportunity to network, comment on each other’s work and see skilfully choreographed routines in action.

Shine starts at 4pm on Saturday at Parr Hall. Tickets are £5 (£4 concessions) or £13 for a family ticket. Call 442345.
