TWO rising metal bands are coming to Warrington as part of a co-headline tour.

Liverpool's Carcer City will join London band Shields on stage at The Dog House in Buttermarket Street on Saturday, May 2, as one of only two north west dates on 'The Revival Tour'.

Carcer City have been invited back to Warrington after supporting grime-metal stars, Hacktivist, who played to a sold-out crowd at The Venue about this time last year.

The five-piece band have been busy recording a new album, the follow up to ‘The Road Journals’, and 2015 will see the band continue to play festivals across the UK and Europe.

Meanwhile, Shields are set to showcase some new material, including single 'Jordan', from their five-track EP ‘Guilt’ which comes out on April 20.

The show is being run by the team behind the Asylum punk and metal club nights.

Lee Harman, one of the organisers, said: "Featuring two of the most exciting rising bands on the touring scene, the show is a must-see as metal returns to Warrington for the first time since the summer."

Support comes from Warrington band Fight To Fail who performed in the big top in Bank Park during the town's music festival last year.

Tickets are available for £5 from seetickets.com. Doors open at 7pm and the gig is restricted to those aged 16 and over.
