A BAND who were described by The Clash's former guitarist Mick Jones as the band to watch in 2015 are starting their tour in Warrington.

Pink Cigar will play at the Dog House in Buttermarket Street on Saturday before touring around the UK and then Berlin, Austria and Poland.

The rock and roll four-piece recently played for Sir Tom Baker at London Fashion Week where they met Mick Jones and they will soon be visiting his studios to record their EP.

Pink Cigar have already played more than 300 gigs around London, supporting the likes of the Alabama 3, and are now doing a headline tour to promote their single, Generation Next.

They are being managed by concert promoter Tommy Kennedy, who grew up in Great Sankey and has gone on to work with Howard Marks, U2 and Madonna as well as Warrington's own Slydigs.
