Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
KNUTSFORD'S Traveller's Tales has been building its empire one plastic brick at a time.
The BAFTA-winning studio has made its name creating more than 25 Lego games since 2005 and, remarkably, the popularity of the series has never drooped.
It might be the basic – but fun – gameplay which appeals to youngsters as much as older players harking back to an era when games were much more simple.
Or maybe it is seeing a favourite character brought to life in the adorable and inimitable Lego style.
But even so, Lego Batman 3 might stand as one of the highlights.
'Beyond Gotham' was inevitable after the success of Traveller's Tales' Lego Marvel Super Heroes last year.
Teaming up all of Marvels heroes like Spider-Man and Iron Man proved a big hit with fans.
So the studio has basically done the same with Lego Batman which is really a caped crusader game in name only.
The title sees Batman and Robin team up with their allies of DC Comics universe to form the Justice League.
And while Batman may be the star, he is one of many super heroes you can play as, each with their own abilities.
The levels may follow the usual Lego game formula but the developers have paid a lot of attention to detail and it is packed with humour. But co-op mode is recommended as the best way to play.
