MARK Watson brought his show to a half full Parr Hall on Saturday night but that was not going to stop him.

The comedian quickly turned a potential negative into a positive as he adapted his act to make jokes about the empty seats.

His tongue was firmly in his cheek as he ‘picked on’ people arriving late as though he was desperate for more people to add to the audience.

It was a far cry from the dad-of-two's sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

But his quick wit towards an unfortunate situation was hilarious, instantaneously bringing members of the audience into his ‘script’ in an ingenious way.

Mark's banter and buoyant attitude certainly won the crowd over who participated at various points.

The 34-year-old also localised his humour, and used a lot of audience interaction in a way which wasn’t overpowering.

Mark's show, Flaws, is about the terrifying ageing process, parenthood and the fear of passing ill-fated traits onto your children.

So in keeping with the theme, the frequent Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Have I Got News For You panellist opened the show on a treadmill.

The BBC Radio 4 presenter and author impressively talked all the way through and then made his ‘grand’ entrance to the main event in a flawless way.

Mark, who is celebrating his 10th anniversary in stand-up, finished by acting out a scene from his recent trip to a Thomas the Tank Engine event with the kids.

But you had to be there to appreciate it! Well worth seeing and deserving of a full house next time.
