OTHER events to look out for taking place at the Pyramid during Warrington Lit Fest include:

Lit Fest Weekender May 3, 10am to 6pm: Curtis Jobling starts the day with a talk about his writing, illustration and film and TV experience.

Get hot and bothered with Lynne Connolly’s class on erotic fiction or fire up your blog with Kate Feld. The afternoon opens with a Q and A with Helen Walsh, David Gaffney talks flash fiction and Wes Brown discusses e-publishing.

Alternatively, develop your creative writing and scriptwriting with Steve Fairclough.

A Tale of Time Travel May 3, 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.45pm to 3.45pm: This event by Chris Trevor will inspire youngsters to create an interactive book, complete with pop-ups, windows and flaps. For children aged seven to 12.

Rhymetime May 3, 12.45pm to 1.30pm and 4pm to 4.45pm: Fun for children under six with Amanda Quigley.

The Paper Cut Poetry Slam May 9, 7.30pm: Have you got what it takes to compete against poets from across the north west for a £50 prize? Shirley May, from CommonWord, will host the event and perform her own slam-winning poetry. Email: louisethepoet@live.co.uk.
