WARRINGTON'S only cocktail and hotdog den needs your help in its bid to be named the best new cocktail bar.

New York inspired Dead Eyes opened in October 2014 with the idea of bringing a Cultural Quarter style experience to Bridge Street.

Owners James Maguire and Jimmy Bannister also want to change the street’s binge drinking reputation by attracting a different crowd.

Now the pair are hoping to be named BarLife UK's 'Best New Bar' in its annual awards.

Nominations are now open at BarLife's website and close on September 25. After that the nominees will be published and voting will begin.

James, a former Great Sankey High student, said: "We think we should get the vote not only for giving Warrington a taste of something you would expect to find in the city.

"But for our lively atmosphere, friendly staff, huge variety of premium cocktails and spirits, drink knowledge and not to forget the best hot dogs in the north west made from a quarter pound of smoked beef.

"Our hard work and effort to change peoples opinions of Bridge Street is also ongoing."
