AN array of top chefs will be cooking their favourite summer recipes at this weekend’s Foodies Festival at Tatton Park in Knutsford.

The festival is the UK’s largest celebration of food and drink and starts tomorrow, Friday, for a three day celebration.

Chefs at Tatton will include judge of BBC’s Great British Menu, Glynn Purnell and contestant and head chef at Manchester’s Aumbry, Mary Ellen McTague, as well as Malaysian chef Norman Musa of Ning, David Mooney, of Knutsford’s Old Sessions House, MasterChef finalist Jackie Kearney, Chris O’Callaghan, of Linthwaite House, and The Yang Sing Culinary Team, who will all be in the Chefs’ Theatre.

More than 150 local producers will be at the festival, featuring a chocolate, bake and preserves theatre, barbecue cooking demonstration and a chilli food market for those with a love of spicy foods.

Visitors can sample wine, champagne, sherry, ales and cocktails with experts Charles Metcalfe, Melissa Cole and champagne expert Neil Phillips.

A free shuttle bus is operating from Knutsford train station to Tatton Park.
