AN open air cinema experience is returning to Tatton Park with screenings of The Goonies, Pretty Woman and Paddington 2 between August 24 and 26.

The Luna Cinema has announced its new summer calendar packed with everything from blockbusters and award-winners to nostalgic cult classics.

This year there will be more than 175 screenings in more than 50 outdoor locations around the UK, with a total of 270,000 tickets available.

George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, said: “We are really excited to be celebrating our 10th anniversary with our biggest season of open air cinema to date – it certainly feels as if the line-up of films and venues for the coming season is our strongest yet.

“We know that our regular audiences look forward to the day our programme is released as it heralds the prospect of warmer, lighter summer evenings where they can come and experience a classic film on the big screen against a jaw-dropping backdrop.

“This year’s new releases are perhaps the strongest of any of the past 10 years.”

The Luna Cinema audiences are welcome to bring along picnics to screenings.

Alternatively all events have hot food for sale and a full bar on site.

Premium tickets are available at all screenings, which include a ‘director’s chair’ in prime position for the screening, fast track access and a complimentary drink at the Luna Bar.

The Luna Cinema was founded in 2008 by George Wood with a showing of Some Like It Hot at Dulwich Park in South London. For more information or tickets visit thelunacinema.com
