Bring It On

Cheerleading, backflips, competition, rivalry...Bring It On is a musical you can sink your teeth into and I absolutely love it.

Ok, it also just so happens to be my girlfriend’s favourite musical and we listen to the soundtrack at least three times a week while driving.

And if she loves it, then I do too.

Avenue Q

This musical is hilarious from start to finish.

Sometimes crude, always funny, it touches on subjects that affect the masses through puppets, a clever script and music that could cheer anybody up.

It was the first musical I watched in the West End.

Singin’ In The Rain

Probably easy to imagine why I’ve placed this in my top five.

It’s a beautifully crafted musical with great songs and great dancing.

And of course the title track – albeit remixed – was the song that started my career 10 years ago in the final of Britain’s Got Talent.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

I put Joseph in my top five because I know every single word.

I love this musical as it was the first show I did, at Longbarn Primary in year three!

I had a very small part but loved the show so much, and still do.

Our House

Former Stockton Heath playwright Tim Firth’s Our House is a jukebox musical based on the music of Madness.

And the show is utter madness too.

I had to include this because I played Reecey in the production last year where I made my debut in my first UK tour of a musical.

I love the music, the gritty storyline and it makes me proud to be British.

George has been shortlisted for best supporting actor in a musical for his role in Our House in the WhatsOnStage Awards.
