THE ultimate UK summer festival for dogs returns next weekend with even more activities for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy.

DogFest, hosted by ‘Supervet’ Noel Fitzpatrick will return to Arley Hall on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18.

Noel will be giving a talk live at the event, sharing stories behind the filming of Channel 4’s The Supervet, as well as the highs and lows of working in a veterinary practice.

Last year’s favourites like Dog Diving, to keep your pup cool in the sun, and Temptation Alley, which tests your pooch’s resolve, return alongside the Hay Bale Race and the Have-A-Go Agility Ring.

New for 2017 is the Big Dog Dig where your pup will be able to dig its way to prizes and treats.

There will also be the popular School 4 Dogs where you can learn how to transform your dog from a disobedient pupil to teacher’s pet.

Twice a day, Noel Fitzpatrick, known for his TV shows The Bionic Vet and The Supervet, will start the Big Tick Great Dog Walk which is your opportunity to explore the grounds of Arley Hall.

The festival is also staging a Sunday morning Doggy Dash, a 5km run around the grounds.

Organisers say they are being joined this year by some ‘very important pooches’ this year including working police dogs who will be demonstrating their skills.

There will also be agility performances by dog display teams where you and your canine can learn from the best.

Away from the stage and the arenas there will be more than 150 stalls and stands where you can shop and speak to the experts about all manner of canine care.
