CANDICE Brown, the winner of the hit TV show, the Great British Bake Off 2016, will be heading to Tatton Park this summer.

The star will be heading to the Foodies Festival in the Knutsford estate on July 14, 15 and 16.

Candice said: "I'm excited to return Foodies Festival for their festivals across the UK this summer, with two baking demonstrations a day giving me the chance to share my favourite recipes with so many of my fans and fellow bakers."

From Great British Bake Off winner Candice to baking extraordinaire Charlotte White and Crème de la Crème winner Mark Tilling, master chocolatier Fiona Sciolti and cake-makers and patisserie chefs, the Cakes and Desserts theatre is set to expand to include not only top local bakers but also local chefs renowned for their outstanding desserts.

Avid bakers can get hands on with a practical baking masterclasses or they can bring along their best bake to enter a Foodies Bake Off competition judged at 3pm each day with a KitchenAid Mini for the winner.

Knutsford chef Dave Mooney will be joined by Kevin Clark from the Mere and many more in the Chefs Theatre.

Top chefs in the Chef’s Theatre include: Rosemary Shrager, judge on BBC’s The Big Family Cooking Showdown; Luis Troyano from Great British Bake Off; Sean Wilson, former Corrie Star & Saddleworth Cheese Co; Lisa & Helen Tse from Manchester's Sweet Mandarin; and Jane Devonshire, winner of MasterChef 2016.

Jane Devonshire added: "I'm really excited to return to the Chef's Theatre at Foodies Festival this summer at Tatton.

"I love Foodies Festival and being a part of the show, having taken part last year shortly after winning MasterChef. When I'm not in the Chef's Theatre you'll find me exploring the exhibitor stalls to see what delicious treats are on offer, getting lured in by the Street Food Village or chatting to visitors. I love the opportunity to cook for my fans and to pass on my cooking tips to fellow foodies."

Nutrition expert and Great British Bake Off finalist Ugne Bubnaityte will be cooking mouth-watering ‘Healthy Living & Guilt Free Recipes’ and Nomad Health gluten free baking who will teach you how to have your cake and eat it.

The Kids Cookery School is a chance for the whole family to join in while the children are introduced to new food and flavours from around the world.

There will be fun science inspired kids cookery with Kiddy Cook leading classes on ‘Marvellous Microbes’, science experiments you can eat, making sherbet and ‘Fizz! Bang! Wallop!’ classes on how Co2 makes dough rise as they make bread bubble bombs, carbon dioxide rockets and delicious dough balls with homemade garlic butter.

Expert mixologists and sommeliers, including Neil Phillips and Charles Metcalfe, will host a full timetable of masterclasses on wine, whisky and champagne and cheese tastings in the Drinks Theatre each day. 

The Foodies Festival VIP experience will be taken to a new level in 2017, with champagne tasting sessions held in the comfort of the VIP area, complimentary glass of fizz in hand courtesy of Borgo Molino.

Ticket prices are: Friday adult ticket £10/£8 concession, Saturday or Sunday adult ticket £13/£11 concession and three day adult ticket £20/£16 concession.

VIP day ticket £38/£35 Friday - includes a welcome glass of bubbly, use of the VIP area with private bar and refreshment, priority entry to food and drink masterclasses, exclusive VIP only masterclasses, showguide, and goody bag to take home.

Children aged 12 and under go free to all Foodies Festivals when accompanied by an adult.
