TOURISTS are set to flock to a stately home near Lymm to tread in the footsteps of some of the world’s best-known actors.

Arley Hall has been included on a list of location stops for a Peaky Blinders’ coach tour. Guide Julie Kershaw will be helping fans trace the ascent of Thomas Shelby from the back streets of Birmingham to the grandeur of Arley Hall.

Julie, a member of the Institute of Tourist Guides, said: “There are fans all over the world and they are starting to find their way to Cheshire and Liverpool in an attempt to find some of the filming locations. Fans are guaranteed not only a professional, qualified guide but also someone who shares their passion and has done hundreds of hours of research.”

The BBC moved the Shelbys into Arley Hall for several weeks in November, 2015. The third series aired last year and continues to grow in popularity. Thomas Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, made Arley his home after ‘going up in the world’ and held his wedding reception in the hall.

The guided tours are aimed at groups, but will also be arranged for individuals to book if there is demand.
