A NIGHT of glamour, vintage cabaret and plenty of tease is coming to Warrington.

An evening of burlesque is coming to The Apartment in Bold Street on Saturday, June 20.

Owner Ronnie Bannerman-Thompson wanted to put on the show with a difference to broaden the club's horizons.

He said: "We’ve had it in mind to lay on a burlesque show for some time now and we’re happy to welcome burlesque queen Bella Besame and her show to The Apartment.

"I’m looking forward to something a little different this time and I’ve heard burlesque shows are certainly that."

The evening’s hostess Bella, a dance teacher and producer of burlesque and cabaret shows nationwide, will be taking the audience back to a time when musical stage parody was the entertainment of the day.

With roots in the early 19th century music halls, this kind of Victorian burlesque has seen a rise in popularity in recent years in the UK.

Bella, who is bringing with her CeCe Sinclair, Lulu Macaroon, Titsalina Bumsquash, Rusty Von Chrome and Eva Fox, added: "Imagine a night combining vintage glamour, retro decadence and good old-fashioned debauchery.

"Mix in plenty of sassy, tongue-in-cheek, beautiful burlesque performers with stunning costumes, great choreography and fun routines.

"Stir in a cheeky hostess, fantastic drinks and a stunning venue with friendly staff and welcome to a night at The Apartment with The Slippery Belle Burlesque."

Tickets are from £10 and are available from Mojos Bar and Tapas in Cairo Street or online from skiddle.com
