HAVE you got the moves to strut your stuff in Printworks ‘Street Dancer’ competition?

Talented hopefuls can come for open auditions on Saturday before the final on Saturday, August 2.

Entrants will compete for the chance to win £1,000, the ‘Street Dancer’ trophy and the opportunity to perform at the Manchester Christmas lights switch-on in in front of tens of thousands of people.

Performing in front of top dance professionals Ashley Simon (Kelly Rowland, Jessie J), Thomas Simon (Mariah Carey, The Saturdays) and Carrie Hanson (The Seldoms), eight acts from the open auditions will be selected to perform at a live final.

The final will feature judge Kenrick Sandy, responsible for choreographing the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic games, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

Street solos, duos and crews are invited to open auditions from 1pm on Saturday.

Fred Booth, centre director, said: “It’s fantastic to have Kenrick Sandy on board, as he has worked with huge stars like Madonna so can give valuable advice to our contestants. We can’t wait to see the performances and we wish everyone entering good luck.”

To pre-register for the open audition e-mail info@theprintworks.com. Anyone under the age of 16 must have a signed permission form from a parent or guardian.

The live grand final takes place from 1 to 4pm on Saturday, August 2.
