HERE it is. The medals have been released for what promises to be Warrington’s biggest running day.

The English Half Marathon comes to town again on September 21 - and this year, there is also a 10k and a one mile race to take on.

As well as the medals and T-shirts, organisers have confirmed Warrington-based New Balance will be main sponsors for the event.

Rob Griffiths is from event sponsor Contest Sports.

He said: "We are very pleased that New Balance have re-associated themselves with the event after a couple of years away.

“We are a Warrington-based company organising this event and it is great that an international running brand like New Balance, who are also based in the town are supporting our ever growing race.

"We are on course for 3,700 entries across thethree race distances in the New Balance EHM Festival of Run and our staff, volunteers and sponsors are working hard to create an amazing race experience that will be a celebration of the runners months of hard work and dedication."

Organisers are estimating there will be 2,700 Half Marathon entries, 500 10k entries and 500 LiveWire mile entries.

Visitors to Victoria Park can also enjoy live music, a food festival, health and well being expo and charity village.

And if you are feeling inspired, entry is open until August 31.
