HERE is you might have missed about the Warrington election results:
It is the first time since 2005 that Labour held both Warrington seats
Conservative David Mowat lost but he polled more votes than last time - 27,445 in 2017 compared to 25,928 in 2015
Turnout was massively up in Warrington North (68 per cent) compared to 62.5 per cent in 2015. It is the highest turnout since 1997
Similarly in Warrington South where 72.4 per cent of people voted compared to 69 per cent in 2015. Also the highest since 1997
The Liberal Democrats still struggle to turn their local success in general election success. Bob Barr won 3,339 votes last night but was elected to the borough council in Lymm with 2027 votes in his ward alone last year
Helen Jones won a sixth general election. If this parliament runs its course, she will have been Warrington North MP for a quarter of a century
Helen Jones won her largest number of votes since 1997
