Council carries out Broadband tests in Burtonwood and Winwick

TESTS checking broadband services over Burtonwood and Winwick have been carried out by the council.

Wireless solution company Nextgenus has been working with the council to fix problem areas.

Clr Faisal Rashid said: “This test was partially successfully as they had some residents that could receive a signal in these areas and some that could not.

“These will be resolved as the set-up is finetuned, however this is only a test at this stage and further discussions will be held on how we move forward.

“While on the roof they also positioned a transmitter to broadcast towards the Chapelford area and will conduct a similar test at a later date.”
