Community group ready

THE inaugural meeting of the new Longbarn Community Association took place on May 9.
The group was set up to unite the community across all age groups and was backed by ward councillors, including Colin Oliver and Scott Wilson.
A community trip has already been arranged for July 26 and plans have been made to raise money for a new community room which will act as a base for groups, children's parties and exercise and hobby classes.
