Evergreens group call it a day after 38 years

A GRAPPENHALL group bade a fond farewell to each other after running for 38 years.
The Evergreens was a weekly group – originally called the Senior Citizens Group – which met every Monday at Grappenhall Youth and Community Club.
Founded in 1973, numbers swelled to more than 60 residents who socialised, partied and planned trips out together.
But with with only eight members remaining the group decided to call it a day at their final meeting last Monday.
