‘SAVE our vascular services’ campaigners hit Fearnhead last week to encourage shoppers and residents to support the cause.

Hundreds of signatures were collected opposing the service moving to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Fernhead Labour party candidate Billy Lines-Rowlands said: “We had an overwhelming response and it was uplifting to see how passionate people feel about issues like this.

“Many residents have been affected by medical issues where cardio vascular services played a vital role “To take these services away from Warrington would have a serious impact on residents.”

I hope that Councillor's Friend and Settle explained the medical arguments (supported by actual doctors not just politicians ) for having fewer units , including having a greater degree of experience and experrise at each unit. It is not just about funding, no matter how convenient it may be for Labour councillors and would be councillors to claim.

Personally I would rather put up with having to travel to Chester if it meant a better service and a greater chance of a positive outcome.
