COUNCILLORS joined forces with Scouts to carry out some planting in Culcheth.

Members of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council carried out the blub planting and wildflower project at Shaw Street Playing Fields in the village.

They were joined by the 3rd Warrington East and 19th Warrington Scout Groups and park ranger Andy Smith last Saturday.

Parish council chairman Clr Lillian Houghton thanked Bents Garden Centre for its support and said: “I am pleased to see the youth of the village getting involved in such a worthwhile environmental activity.”
