Croft WI report
11:17am Friday 26th August 2011 in Croft
Croft WI By Pat Hewitt There was a high attendance at the July meeting of Croft WI when a demonstration of Clarins beauty products was given by members of staff from Boots Chemists, Gemini Retail Park. The ladies were treated to make-up demonstrations, advice on skin care and sun related items and there was an extensive range of products on sale instigating long queues to buy. Clarins donated £115 of their products for the raffle prize and this was won by Glynis Haines, a worthy winner, considering all the work Glynis has put in to improve and maintain Croft Community Hall.
At the end of the evening the distribution of free samples went down a treat and an enthusiastic vote of thanks was given by Susan Wallis.
Croft WI ladies once again managed to win a cup for their float entry at the carnival and are already planning their theme for next year!
Joan Johnson won the competition for July and the meeting was closed by Anne Tansey, who had ably deputised in the absence of the president.
