FOR people with too much time on their hands there is the opportunity to help others by joining Age Concern, to offer help and comfort to the elderly in Chalfont St Giles.
There are many activities happening during the week.
The Friday Lunch Club provides a cooked meal for 12 housebound or lonely people .
At the Tuesday Chiropody Clinic a professional chiropodist treats patients for a subsidised fee and there is also a Monday exercise class and a monthly Darby and Joan Club with provides fellowship and entertainment.

THE Chiltern Fuchsia Society is urging people to join their group. The object of the society is to promote the knowledge and understanding of the cultivation of fuchsias. The society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and the British Fuchsia Society which gives members access to expert help if it is needed.
The members meet on the fourth Thursday of most months in the Garden Centre in School Lane.
