  • Funding is needed

    AFTER learning that my four-year-old son needs speech and language therapy, I was disappointed to find that he won't be getting any help until he starts reception class this September. I decided to seek outside help for him in the meantime, however, I was none too pleased to then learn that the waiting list for speech and language therapy was 18 months, due to staff shortages and lack of funds. read more

  • Great decisions

    I WOULD like to say a big thank you' on behalf of the community to the faceless people who had a hand in the following: l The decision to introduce clamping on the private hallowed ground that is the Lodge Lane car park in Culcheth. At a stroke this has put a stop to those mischievous shoppers who used to nip to Waterfields for a sandwich. It has also stopped those nuisance churchgoers from taking up all the vacant car park spaces on a Sunday morning. read more

  • Majority are against PSRFI

    CONCERNING David Sloan's letter Parkside is an opportunity' published on December 20; to use the bunch of nimbys' argument against the thousands of residents who are opposed to Parkside, shows a lack of understanding about the catastrophic impact that the Parkside Strategic Road Freight Interchange (SRFI) scheme would bring to thousands. read more
